STAY AND PLAY IS BACK!
We are so pleased to announce that little ones from 0-3 and their parents or carers are welcome again at our Stay and Play sessions, which are in the Isis Rooms and gardens every Friday (from 9 Sept 2022 onwards) from 9:30-11:30am. A great way to meet up with other families and to enjoy playing with toys and reading books with your child! £1 per familiy. For more information, please contact Shelagh Allsop
Children in Church
Children are very welcome at our Parish Eucharist on Sundays between 10 and 11 am. During this service there is space at the back of the church where parents are welcome to sit with their children and make use of the books and toys. They are also welcome to go into the church rooms next to vestry for some of the service and there are toilets here also.
We sometimes have special Children's Church services on the first Sunday of every month, in church, the garden or the Isis rooms at 4pm. This is for small children (from toddlers to juniors) and parents are very welcome to stay too. The session lasts for about an hour and is very interactive with music, stories, experiments crafts and refreshments! Do come along and try it out! For more information please contact Shelagh Allsop
Youth Group
The Youth Group is not currently running. We hope it will restart again soon! Under the supervision of Bea Vickers, St Paul's ran
a flourishing and fun Youth Group for ages 11-17 in the vicarage between 4.30-6pm, on the last Sunday of every month. The Youth Group comprised a
mixture of activities such as baking, table tennis, snooker and some discussion of philosophical or religious ideas where doubts are welcomed and questions encouraged! We aimed to provide a safe and
non-judgemental space for young people to explore what they really believe and what they think about God and the church. The Youth Group helped organise and host events in the church garden for
refugee families living in Hounslow. The parents enjoyed the time to relax and chat while their children were entertained by our young volunteers! You can see some photographs below!
Children's Choir
We don't have a Children's Choir that meets regularly, but we often put together a large choir of children for many of our concerts - and there is always a children's choir performing at our Christmas concert! Over the years we have sung an enormous variety of music including songs from popular musicals such as Oliver, The Sound of Music and Mary Poppins; to tunes from The Beatles and ABBA plus of course lots of hymns and carols as well! For Christmas 2013 we sang some music from Handel's Messiah, which had been especially arranged for children to sing by Michael Reed.
Many of the children involved are regulars at our church but we welcome friends and any other local children who like to sing!
