CHILDREN IN CHURCH
Children are very welcome at our Parish Eucharist on Sundays between 10 and 11 am. During this service there is space at the back of the church where parents are welcome to sit with their children and make use of the books and toys. They are also welcome to go into the church rooms next to the vestry for some of the service and there are toilets here also.
We are planning to increase our activities for children in 2025 - watch this space! Ideas include having more services specifically for little ones, and including them in our musical activities during the Advent and Christmas periods.
Here you see our 2024 Christingle Service which was a very magical and joyous occasion. We were also extremely pleased to raise £126 for The Children's Society with our collection. You can find out more about their important work on their website here.
Shelagh Allsop and Rev'd Caroline make regular visit to Strand on the Green Primary School, to talk to the children about Christian festivals.
Stay and Play
These sessions for babies and toddlers together with their parents and carers run every Friday morning. There's loads to do, both indoors and outdoors, and it's a good way to meet other parents and carers in your neighbourhood. The group runs on Fridays druing term times, in the church hall, next to the church from 9:30-11:30. At the end of the session we usually go into church to sing songs to the members of the Coffee Club! For more information, please contact Shelagh Allsop on 07710 385839. We ask for a £1 voluntary contribution per family, which includes drinks and snacks!
