Welcome to St Paul's
Welcome to St Paul's

SERVICES

Our main act of worship is on Sundays at 10am, when we welcome families and children. This is a Parish Communion following the new Common Worship service. The Liturgy is sung in a modern setting especially composed for St Paul’s by Mike Dixon. After the service, coffee is served at the back of the church or in the garden, giving people a chance to meet and chat.

The two other weekly services are Meditive Prayer at 7pm on Monday evenings and Midday Prayer at 12 noon on Fridays.

St Paul's holds a Taizé service on the fourth Sunday of every month, at 6:30pm.

St Paul's is here for christenings, weddings, funerals, Bible study courses, confirmation classes, and private prayers. Please talk to  Rev Caroline about how St Paul's can be here for you.

Below is a joyful pictures from our Sunrise Service with Easter Fire, which we held in the garden at 6am on Easter Day 2025.

FRIDAY WELCOME

A short Welcome Service is taken by our Lay Minister Simon Surtees every Friday from 12-12:30pm. This follows coffee club, in church.

TAIZE SERVICES

Taizé Prayer is a simple, meditative form of worship, usually in a candle-lit environment. Simple songs are repeated over and over again to create a feeling of meditation, with short readings and prayerful silence. The Taizé Community

is an ecumenical Christian monastery in France, founded in 1940. Its principles are Kindness, Simplicity and Reconciliation. Taizé has become one of the world's most important sites of Christian pilgrimage, with a focus on youth. Over 100,000 young people from around the world make pilgrimages to Taizé each year.

St Paul's holds a Taizé service on the fourth Sunday of every month, at 6:30pm.

OUR CHOIR

We sing during Communion every week and meet for a short practice session at 9:30am on Sundays. This is an informal group, no robes required and new members are most welcome! We also sometimes sing anthems on special occasions, and perform music of all kinds at the many St Paul's concerts! Below you can see the some of the choir singing carols at the Chiswick Food Market in 2024! To find out more about singing with us, please email Simon Surtees or our organist Tom Torley

Above you see photos of the performance of Stainer's Cruxifixion which was sung on Good Friday and Easter Saturday 2025 This moving and absorbing work was sung by by St Paul's choir and friends together with the choir of Christ Church, East Sheen.

CONFIRMATION

Confirmation is administered by the Bishop of Kensington either here with a small group at St Paul’s or at St Paul's Cathedral, with candidates from other parishes, or another church. Candidates are prepared by the Vicar in classes, usually in the evenings or at weekends. A special class is arranged for adults if required. If you would like to be confirmed, please speak to Rev Caroline. Normally children are confirmed before their first communion. All Christians are welcome to receive communion or a blessing at our communion services.
